My sweet 16 yr old...

It really happened, she turned 16 on the 25th of august. I am speechless as to tell you how i feel about this beautiful girl that God blessed me with. She is my best girl friend ever!! The flowers are from her guy friend, Kayden, and the next picture is of the gift that stetson gave her----a rubber chicken---with a note that says "nothing HONKS as good as you !" because of her laugh. And yes that really is her laugh.......








The next one is a pooh bear that ruger gave her, because that is of course her favorite character ever....since birth.
Levi gave her some pooh bear coloring books with new crayons. I love it when the boys want to get her something from them without help. it truely shows their personalities.



Her dad and i are still trying to locate her birthday gift. im sure she thinks we just havent gotten her anything, but some gifts just take time.....

Welcome Home Elder Hirschi !!!!

Wow, he made it home!! My nephew just got home from serving his mission in Equador. It was so fun to be there to welcome him home. He is the first missionary on my side of the family so it was pretty exciting. My boys have such great examples on both Joe and my sides of the family.

Ok, i had 3, yes 3, full package of ribs thawed and ready to "slowly" bbq. I LOVE RIBS!!! i have heard the great chefs say, (on food network) you should sear the outside of the meat so the juices stay in. As you can see i seared these suckers.......i seared the juice right out of them.

I had put them on the gril and ran in the house to answer my phone, i forgot all bout them until Stetson ran in the house yelling "The grill has flames coming out of it!!!" (and he was across the street at his gmas) UGH my ribs were pretty close to ash, ok there was ash falling off them......:( i just wish it would have been something like porkchops or burgers or something besides my RIBS that i ruined.

My baby is 10! time is flying by for this mother. Anyway he wanted to take a couple of friends to the brigham pool and swim for the day. They had a great time and it was a beautiful day. This is his last yr at the elementary school that makes me feel old old old..but a little happy happy happy too.
