I LOVE that quote.. it makes absolute sense.. probably because it's TRUE! I positively cherish your friendship and hope we never have any cracks! Love ya Hide!
Sorry, but I disagree. If we were all more "Christ-like" there would be no cracks, as in there are no "cracks" when we repent. We are suppose to forgive like our Heavenly Father forgives us, but forgiveness is not really forgivenss if there are "cracks", right?? I'm going to use this as my reminder to do so...thanks :)
I took something totally different from this comment (but its interesting to see what others get out of it too) if something is made of glass, we generally take every precaution not to break it, whether it is a valued piece of glass or not. We are extra careful when we handle it and move it and put it in safer places. If we do break something, we choose wether or not it is worth repairing. The things we really value, we may decide that even if it is cracked, it is still worth keeping. It will never be the same but still it is worth the time and effort to fix. I guess my thoughts on being Christ-like relating to this quote would be that Christ would not have let it get broken.......
I agree, I also love hearing other perspectives. I guess my point is that, Christ was perfect & would have never broken the glass, we unfortunately are not & if we do accidentally "break the glass" we are fortunate enough that we can repent, but if we want to be fully forgiven for our mistakes, we too have to forgive others fully of their mistakes. Nice deep chat, don't ya think? :)
